Your Questions Answered: Navigating Your Pilates Journey in Sandy & SLC, UT
Please reach us at pilates4realpeople@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Absolutely not. This is the most common myth we hear. Pilates was originally designed as a form of physical therapy. Because our Balanced Body certified trainers use the Reformer's spring resistance, the machine actually supports your body weight. Whether you are recovering from an injury, just walk for exercise, haven't worked out in years, or feel "stiff," we meet you where you are.
Yes. In fact, many of our clients in the Sandy and SLC area come to us specifically for post-rehabilitation. Our 100% certified & dedicated instructors will tailor each exercise to your unique body. Whether you're looking at sculpting your body or just strengthening your core, increasing your mobility, or just honing your balance. We can modify ANY exercise for you to ensure safety and effectiveness. Common conditions we navigate are sciatica, herniated disc disease, arthritis, joint fusions, diastasis recti, shoulder injuries, knee injuries, and countless others. Transparency is key! Let your instructor know any concerns you have prior to class.
At PFE, we don’t use "in-house" or franchise training. Every instructor is certified through Balanced Body, requiring over 520 hours of clinical study, anatomy, and observation. This is the industry gold standard worldwide, ensuring you are in the hands of a true movement specialist.
We pride ourselves on offering the highest level of certified instruction at an accessible price. Most new clients find our New Client Specials—$40 for 1 week of unlimited classes or $150 for 1 month of unlimited classes—to be the best value in Salt Lake County to experience our community and different instructor styles.
Yes! While we recommend consistency for the best results, we offer single-class drop-in rates of $25 for those visiting the Sandy/Cottonwood Heights area or those who want to try a single "shaking legs and fire abs" session before committing to a pack.
We do not. We found that free classes led to a lack of accountability and no-shows that took spots away from our regular clients. We value our instructors' expertise and our community's time, which is why we offer our high-value $40 Unlimited Week instead.
Wear what makes you feel comfortable and allows you to move freely. The most common apparel in our studio is leggings or shorts and a tank top. We recommend avoiding clothing that is too baggy or lacks 4-way stretch. There is no need to buy a whole new wardrobe just to start Pilates!
Just bring yourself and a water bottle! We provide all the equipment. We do NOT require Grip Socks; however, if you want to try them and don't have a pair, we have them available for purchase at the studio for $10.
We are located at 8789 S Highland Dr Suite 310, Sandy, Utah 84093.We proudly serve the communities of Sandy, Cottonwood Heights, Midvale, and the greater Salt Lake City area.
